Some users may be receiving one of the following errors when attempting to log on to SkillSelect:
“Page cannot be found”
“Cannot find server”
“Broken links server cannot be found”
“The page cannot be displayed”
By ‘flushing’ (clearing) your Domain Name Server (DNS) cache you may be able to re-establish your connection to SkillSelect. Please choose your operating system and follow the steps below to flush your DNS cache.
Flush DNS Windows XP

- Click Start, and then click Run
- Type CMD in the Run box, and then press ENTER
- At the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns, and then press ENTER

- Click Start, All Programs, and go to Accessories
- Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
- At the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns, and then press ENTER
- Please note: If you do not have Administrator rights on your computer please refer to your System Administrator.

- Go to the Applications folder and open Utilities and then run the Terminal application
- Type in the appropriate command below and hit RETURNFor Leopard or Snow Leopard
dscacheutil -flushcacheFor Tiger and Panther
lookupd -flushcache
